Form of treatment for ovarian cancer that can be given either intravenously, orally or injected into a body cavity. Most often more  than 2 or more drugs are given together  when treating ovarian cancer. Chemotherapy works by destroying cancer cells and is prescribed by your provider at fixed intervals either daily, weekly, or every 3-4 weeks. Chemotherapy is usually given in an out-patient facility.
