Specific medications given to counteract the side effects of nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy. These medications can be given prior to chemotherapy administration and often continued immediately after treatment. Common drugs used include Zofran (Ondansetron), Kytril (granisetron), Emend (aprepitant), compazine (prochlorperazine) and Zyprexa (Olanzapine).
